I think that all countries of the region should join their efforts in the fight against a common threat - terrorism in general and isis in particular. it concerns iran as well, it concerns saudi arabia (although the two countries do not get along very well, isis threatens both of them), it concerns jordan, it concerns turkey (in spite of certain problems regarding the kurdish issue), and, in my opinion, everybody is interested in resolving the situation. our task is to join these efforts to fight against a common enemy.

I've always wondered why european politicians as a group seemed brighter than american politicians as a group. maybe it's becausemany american politicians have the race issue to fall back on. they become lazy, suspicious of innovative ideas, and as a result american institutions atrophy.

Americans, both politicians and voters, may have become corrupted by big government beyond redemption. a virtuous government requires a virtuous people. a frugal government requires a self-reliant people. a free country requires people who value liberty more than money.

Accuse american businessmen of being responsible for radicalism and they would indignantly deny the accusation. yet, in one fundamental sense, they are responsible. they are responsible in the sense that they have utterly neglected to take part in the work and the organization which precede the choosing of candidates for political office. local political organizations all over the land are conducted and controlled, as a rule, by politicians.... businessmen have shirked such responsibilities, leaving an untrammeled field to others less capable of carrying on the administration of government.

I have a specific set of, i have a specific sort of negative energies to deal with that might be specific to me, but it definitely something that all artists have to deal with at one point or another. but i think for me, it's just maybe more specific.
