I've been making a list of the things they don't teach you at school. they don't teach you how to love somebody. they don't teach you how to be famous. they don't teach you how to be rich or how to be poor. they don't teach you how to walk away from someone you don't love any longer. they don't teach you how to know what's going on in someone else's mind. they don't teach you what to say to someone who's dying. they don't teach you anything worth knowing.

Education, actual learning - it is hard work. it's very personal. your parents don't teach you anything. your teachers don't teach you anything. the government doesn't teach you anything. you read it. you don't understand it; you read it again. you break a pencil and read it again.

I dare say, ladies and gentlemen, it's even worse in some people, it's worse than the mistake they make in just assuming that there is the world and everything in it, and then there's america. and this one special place just happened. no thought's given to how. no thought's given to replicating it, even. no, that's where it gets even worse. where it gets even worse is that some of those who look at the united states for what it is, special, no place like it on earth. want to tear it down for that specific reason just because it's unfair.

You can't teach talent. you can't teach inspiration. you can teach people critical facilities. you can give them techniques. you can teach discipline. and you can teach them about the business.

Being known for bond, certainly when you're in foreign countries, makes people curious. you get to see presidents because their wives were curious; their children were curious about bond or the saint or whatever. then once you have your foot through the door, you can then let them see that you're serious about what you're talking about, and not just a twit.

Racism is worse than ever. violence is worse than ever. the economy's worse than ever. unemployment's worse than ever. and it's democrats that have been running the show, with the first african-american president at the top of the heap, and it didn't get any better?
