I think we should stop asking people in their 20s what they 'want to do' and start asking them what they don't want to do. instead of asking students to 'declare their major' we should ask students to 'list what they will do anything to avoid.' it just makes a lot more sense.

I'm even stunned at some of the majors you can get in college these days. like you can major in the mating habits of the australian rabbit bat, major in leisure studies... okay, get a journalism major. okay, education major, journalism major. right. philosophy major, right. archeology major. i don't know, whatever it is. major in ballroom dance, of course. it doesn't replace work. how about a major in film studies? how about a major in black studies? how about a major in women studies? how about a major in home ec? oops, sorry! no such thing.

When the u.s. asks for the extradition of a terrorist, if turkey doesn't have that individual on the terror list, what do we say, what do we respond? now, the individual might not be on your terror list or terrorist list. but if he is on my list, and if we have an agreement on the extradition of criminals, if i make the request, then, well, you should extradite that person. and there has been numerous examples of that mechanism working with many other nations as well, not just the u.s.

Don't ask for the task to be easy... just ask for it to be worth it don't wish it was easier... wish you were better don't ask for less challenge... ask for more skill don't ask for less problems... and for more wisdom it's the challenge that makes the experience. life and it's colour and meaning and adventure for you is this collection of experiences. to wish them away is to wish your life away.

I've read something that bill gates said about six months ago. he said, ‘i worked really, really hard in my 20s.’ and i know what he means, because i worked really, really hard in my 20s too. literally, you know, 7 days a week, a lot of hours every day. and it actually is a wonderful thing to do, because you can get a lot done. but you can't do it forever, and you don't want to do it forever, and you have to come up with ways of figuring out what the most important things are and working with other people even more.

Declare it. just the same way we declare war. that is how we will have peace... we just need to declare it.
