The separation of church and state is necessary partly because if religion is good then the state shouldn't interfere with the religious vision or with the religious prophet. there must be a realm of truth beyond political competence, that's why there must be a separation of churches, but if religion is bad and a bad religion is one that gives an ultimate sanctity to some particular cause. then religion mustn't interfere with the state - so one of the basic democratic principles as we know it in america is the separation of church and state.

First i might say that when a person, when a man separates from his wife, at the out start it's a physical separation but it's not a psychological separation. he still thinks of her in, in probably warm terms. and, but after the physical separation has taken, existed for a period of time, it becomes a psychological separation as well as physical. and he can then look at her more objectively. my split or separation from the black muslim movement at first was only a physical separation, but my heart was still there and it was impossible for me to, for me to look at it objectively.

I am catholic but i want to say something to the catholics. thank you for some of the bishops who live in rural areas, and are still catholic. these bishops of the catholic churches still pray for the poor, and pray for their president who works for the poor, while the leaders of the catholic church only defend oligarchy.

If we get you in the early years of your life and we fill your head with all of the catholic stories, then it's very hard for you to stop being catholic. catholics are catholics because they like being catholic.

Too many people in america believe that if you are pro-choice that means pro-abortion. it doesn't. i don't want abortion. abortion should be the rarest thing in the world. i am actually personally opposed to abortion. but i don't believe that i have a right to take what is an article of faith to me and legislate it to other people. that's not how it works in america.

I do not like a high-organized church. i think that as soon as the congregation reaches a level of one hundred or so people, it is time to build a new church. as soon as the congregation gets to the point where you are not on fairly intimate terms with every other person in that church, then you have become a theater where people can attend services. i do not think you can attend a church service. service is not something which is there to be viewed as if it were a play or a movie.
